As Disneyland® Paris celebrates its 25th Anniversary, a group of approximately 250 children are gearing up for a performance opportunity of a lifetime on Saturday 25th November.

The lucky youngsters all attend Razzamataz, at one of the part-time theatre schools throughout the UK. The children, from the ages of 8 to 18, will be performing at The Dome Disney Village®, where Cirque Du Soleil once performed their iconic shows.

Seventeen of the theatre schools within the Razzamataz network have the opportunity to perform at Disneyland Paris and all the months of hard work during rehearsals will come to fruition during the gala performance.

Each Principal and their teachers have been working with the children for a number of months to prepare for this exciting opportunity and create a performance piece that will display the children’s talent for singing, dancing and acting. Although the curriculum at Razzamataz covers everything from musical theatre through to the commercial genres, for this special gala performance the pieces will of course all be Disney inspired.

The icing on the cake for the whole experience will likely to be performing in the iconic Disney Performing Arts® Pre-Parade down Main Street USA® in the Disneyland® Park.

A real USP for the Razzamataz students is that they will be performing just before the official Disney parade with their own song. The students at Razzamataz Medway have composed and recorded their own song with a Disney twist together with their teachers. The lead vocals are by Natalie James, who has a number of hits in the top 10 with her group Bad Candy as well as being a coach on the Dutch version of TV show The X Factor. Natalie has worked with Razzamataz students for more than ten years and often runs singing workshops and hosts talks about the industry.

“This is the first time that Razzamataz students have performed at Disneyland Paris and it makes it extra special that it is happening during the 25th Anniversary celebrations,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “We are incredibly proud to be performing our own song as part of the Disney Performing Arts® Pre Parade. It will make the whole experience even more magical.”

Razzamataz offer many exciting opportunities for their students, both locally and on a much larger stage. For a number of years, youngsters have been performing at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London and new for 2018, they will be performing at the Indigo Centre at London’s O2.

“These experiences really give our students and their families memories that will last a lifetime,” adds Denise. “It is a real privilege to be part of these children’s lives and share these special times.”

Razzamataz offers a wide range of performing arts styles for youngsters age 4-18 including current trends that are accessible to children and teenagers. Classes consist of dance, drama and singing and the curriculum covers the whole of the performing arts, from classic West End musical theatre to street dance, pop singing and acting for camera.
