Double Involvement for Franchise Finance

With this year’s NatWest Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) Awards behind us, we’re taking a closer look at each of our supporters to find out more about how they’re involved with EWIF and to thank them for their support and involvement with the awards. This year, Franchise Finance sponsored the Woman Franchisor of the Year Award won by Sussanne Chambers from HomeXperts.

Donna King from Franchise Finance is a regular attender of our Regional meetings and national events and she relished the opportunity to present the award to such an inspirational female franchisor. Donna even won her own award this year!

“We welcomed the opportunity to support women into franchising and we were pleased to be actively involved in the year ahead. EWIF continues to go from strength to strength, with more and more people becoming aware of its existence and the value it brings to the franchising community. I pop up everywhere spreading the word on how Franchise Finance can support both men and women to fulfil their ambition to become a successful business owner. Having a national remit, I get the opportunity to attend and support all the EWIF Regional Meetings and National Events so it was great to be at the awards and celebrate with the business women who attend these events,” explains Donna.

Sussanne launched her HomeXperts business model in 2010 and has experienced controlled and measured growth over the last five years whilst delivering the ethos of amazing franchisee support. Signing up 13 new franchisees throughout 2015, Sussanne saw an increase of 347% in turnover. She won her award for her dedication to the growth of the HomeXperts franchise network as well as a dedication to supporting franchisees to make sure they get the very best out of their businesses.

“Sponsoring this award has given us the opportunity to show Franchise Finance’s support for women in business. We spend a huge amount of time with aspiring business women who are often reluctant to celebrate their achievements or don’t even realise how much they achieve on a daily basis. Sussanne is such a positive role model out there in the industry it’s great to see that with the support of a great team and through her own hard work and dedication, how much she has achieved in such a short space of time” adds Donna.

EWIF’s primary focus is to support women who are looking for a route into the franchise industry. Our remit is threefold; to encourage women to consider buying a franchise, to encourage business women to franchise their existing operations and to help franchisors attract more women to their networks. We are a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, providing advice and guidance to anyone looking at trying to break into the franchise industry.
