Magical Maths Wins More Awards

At our 2016 NatWest EWIF Awards, Claire Roberts was the recipient of our Young Woman in Franchising of the Year Award 2016 sponsored by Caremark Ltd. Claire was nominated by Colin Bradford, franchisor of Magical Maths.

Our Young Woman in Franchising of the Year Award recognises the most successful women involved in franchising aged 30 years old or younger. Being only 25 years old when she joined the Magical Maths franchise, Claire was the youngest franchisee out of the dozens currently active in their network, however, this did not stop her from breaking the Magical Maths record for being the fastest franchisee to book 10, 20 and 30 schools!

“Claire seems to approach breaking records at Magical Maths like it is a sport. To put her record breaking numbers into context, at Magical Maths we would consider getting 30 schools booked in a franchisees first year as good performance and ‘on track’ with what we would expect. Claire did this in only 17 days, despite having no experience in business and only a few years’ experience teaching maths” explains Colin Bradford.

“Winning the Young Woman in Franchising of the Year Award 2016 felt amazing! Throughout the whole process I was in disbelief and thought I would never stand a chance considering there were so many successful women as finalists” explains Claire Roberts.

September 2015 also saw Claire break the record for the highest ever sales in a single month at £23,416 with strong net profit margins of 33%. Even experienced people in the Magical Maths network who have performed consistently month after month have never broken the £20,000 mark so for Claire to do this in her fifth month at Magical Maths is outstanding.

“I think I won this award because I worked very hard and put all my efforts into everything I did from the very beginning and pushed myself to exceed targets I had set. Even though I was a little unsure I would be able to manage it all everything worked out and I proved that you can achieve amazing results when you work really hard” adds Claire.

Alongside outstanding financial performance, Claire is adding value to the Magical Maths network in many other ways. Her innovative and determined nature means she is always developing new ideas and trying new things leading to key developments to the Magical Maths website through creating landing pages.

“I think that winning this award will show people that I am a strong women despite my age and I can achieve great things and I hope this will lead to people putting more faith in my franchise, allowing it to grow further” concludes Claire.
