Owen White Solicitors
Owen White Solicitors have been involved in helping both franchisors and franchisees for over 30 years. We are affiliate members of the British Franchise Association and Jane Masih who leads our franchise team currently sits as a director on the bfa Board.
Over the years we have worked with a number of franchisors helping them to expand their businesses through franchising. Our work for franchisors includes drafting franchise agreements, dealing with any franchise questions raised by prospective franchisees, litigation matters and advising on master licence and regional development agreements. We also deal with the sale of franchise networks for franchisors.
We provide a franchise agreement review service for prospective franchisees, the details of which are set out on our website www.owenwhite.com. The service involves reading the franchise agreement and writing a report in plain English for a prospective franchisee to ensure that they fully understand their rights and responsibilities under the franchise agreement they are proposing to sign.
We also act for franchisees who wish to buy an existing franchise business involving either the acquisition of shares or assets of the existing franchise business together with acquiring the premises from which the franchise business operates.
Owen White fully supports EWIF in all its aims and ambitions to encourage women to consider franchising as a way of expanding their own business as a franchisor, or taking the step into business ownership as a franchisee.
