Play Simple Netball
Play Simple Netball provides a social environment for members to play netball whilst improving their health and fitness, building new friendships and strengthening existing ones as they play.
The business was launched in 2006 by Joanna Wilks, who used the skills and experience gained from her work within the sports industry to grow a number of successful social netball leagues across Manchester.
This successful model has now been replicated in the North West, where the numbers of netball leagues are continuing to grow. There are now over 1300 members and over 200 teams playing every single week across the North West.
Play Simple Netball are looking to capitalise on the recent boost in popularity for the sport. Since England Roses emerged victorious in the Commonwealth Games final in 2018, and Liverpool hosted the Netball World Cup in 2019, over 50,000 more women have taken part in the sport and these numbers continue to rise (Sport England ALS, 2019).
Our ambition is to have a successful team of franchisees across the UK. So if you’re passionate about netball and growing the netball community in your area, we’d love to hear from you!
