Family Club franchise Busylizzy, based in West Sussex, has been shortlisted for the Emerging Franchisor category at the prestigious 2016 bfa HSBC Franchisor Of The Year Awards.

The British Franchise Association (bfa) recognises the UK’s most exceptional operators in a range of categories, for their business growth and development, service excellence and ethical franchising practice.

The awards are the oldest and most prestigious in the franchise sector, running for nearly 30 years, and recognise franchising at its best across the UK’s £15bn franchise sector

Busylizzy was founded in 2011 after founder Julie Clabby identified a gap in the market for exercise classes designed for postnatal mums, babies and toddlers all wrapped up into one membership. It now includes seven franchise clubs nationwide.

“Being short list for this award is a fantastic vote of confidence from the bfa”, said Julie Clabby, Founder of Busylizzy. It’s been an incredible 5 year journey from kitchen table to national franchise business and we are excited to be part of it. We have been nominated because we stand out from the crowd, offer a completely flexible service to our clients and fully support our franchisees on their journey in establishing their very own family clubs.

The 2016 awards has five categories:

 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year

 Emerging Franchisor of the Year

 Award for Innovation

 Franchisee Recruitment Award

 Award for Customer Focus

Pip Wilkins, bfa chief executive, said: “It’s particularly pleasing to see the variety of businesses expanding through franchising represented, reflecting the range of operators in UK franchising. Our finalists should be very proud to have been recognised for their exceptional performance.”

All finalists will present to a panel of industry experts in Reading on 12th and 13th April, with winners announced at a black-tie dinner on 23rd June in Nottingham
