We would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who attended our National Conference yesterday! The conference was a huge success, with some incredibly inspirational guest speakers and a higher number of delegates attending than ever before!

At our conference, we announced that we will sadly be saying farewell to our Regional South-West chair, Claire Robinson.
Claire’s franchise, Extra Help, became members and attended our conference in 2014, leading Claire to put herself forward for the role of regional chair for the South-West region.
Following her move to Milton Keynes, Claire has stepped down from her regional chair position but says, “I’m still very keen to support EWIF, as they do a great job supporting the franchise industry. I also chair the AFA (Approved Franchise Association), and I would like to devote more time to this”.
We would like to thank Claire for her hard work at EWIF and wish her all the best as she continues to pursue her dream!

However, every goodbye is followed by a happy hello! We would like to warmly welcome our new chair, Stephen Thompson who will be supported by Siobhan Williams and Tegan Quinn from Darwin Gray Solicitors, Cardiff. Together they will be chairing our new EWIF South-West and Wales region.
Stephen joined Darwin Gray as a partner in 2004 as head of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial team, which includes their franchising team. His area of expertise relates to the buying and selling of franchise businesses, alongside Teagan and Siobhan who both have extensive knowledge of all areas of franchising.
Darwin Gray have sponsored the EWIF Awards for the last two years, and have agreed to take over the EWIF South-West and Wales Region as we continue to expand the mission of EWIF into Wales.
“I am pleased to be chairing the EWIF South-West and Wales region, to help grow the presence of EWIF in Wales and build on the excellent work that is being done for franchisors and franchisees across the region,” adds Stephen.
