Whether it is performing in London’s West End, working with stars of stage or screen or attending film premieres, the incredible experiences for students at a franchise theatre school network never stops. This latest opportunity has provided an enriching experience for students and a host of benefits for franchisees, emphasising Razzamataz Theatre Schools’ commitment to nurturing creativity, personal growth and global exposure.
The Razzamataz students were invited to New York to embark on an incredible journey that they will never forget. The immersive educational experience goes beyond anything that can be taught in the classroom, with every participant making memories that they will treasure for a lifetime.
“I just wanted to say again a huge thank you to you and all the fabulous Razzamataz teachers for looking after Abi and giving her the trip of an absolute life time,” says parent Kate Stark. “I can’t believe everything she has done and the things she’s seen and places she’s been in just a few days. I’m not sure how anything can possibly top this trip she’s been on and that’s thanks to you for making it happen.”
Razzamataz, with more than two decades of expertise in performing arts education, is recognised for its dedication to empowering young minds and talents. The adventures in the Big Apple provided students with a unique chance to immerse themselves in a city renowned for its diverse culture and artistic influence. Students experienced the power of creativity in a global context by participating in several workshops with industry professionals.
From street dance to Broadway musical theatre, the students were inspired by the incredible team of teachers and workshop leaders. Whether they go on to embark on a career in the performing arts or take this experience with them to fuel whatever passions they go on to achieve, the opportunity to participate in workshops with the stars of Broadway will be imprinted on their hearts forever. Students enjoyed workshops with Lisa, dance captain in Wicked the Musical on Broadway, Michael, composer, MD and musical supervisor who has worked with Bob Dylan and Disney and Miss Judie, original cast of Hairspray the Musical on Broadway.
Student Catrina from Razzamataz Carlisle says: “It is honestly lifechanging. You just wouldn’t get this opportunity elsewhere, it’s once in a lifetime doing these amazing workshops and incredible experiences with my best friends.”
For theatre lovers, no trip to New York would be complete without watching a show on Broadway. “Seeing Wicked is the highlight of my trip, it was my first Broadway experience,” says student Lucy from Razzamataz Mansfield. “I’m training to be a nurse at the moment and Razzamataz has really helped with my confidence.”
For franchisees, being part of a network offering such incredible experiences helps to elevate the reputation in the local community. They can leverage this unique opportunity to attract new students and excite the ones they have. The feedback has been incredible and franchisees who have provided students with such an exceptional learning experience have fostered loyalty among their customers, contributing to long-term success.
“’It was brilliant, and we had the best time, definitely made memories that will last a lifetime,” says parent Claire Thompson. “You did a great job of organising everything, it really took the stress out of such a big place. We truly had an amazing time and we’ll definitely be putting our name down for the next trip you do. I love watching Maddyson have such a great time with you all.”
For franchisees, the stress of organising such a big trip was taken care of by Razzamataz Head Office as Principal Debbi Ledwith from Razzamataz Newbury explains: “It has been fantastic. Would I go again, yes. Would I bring parents? Definitely. They have all loved it and really appreciate the work that has gone into planning. Students have loved the workshops and everything else.”
Everyone on the trip also got the opportunity to enjoy the magic that New York has to offer as Principal Claire Blower from Razzamataz Mansfield and Nottingham explains: “It’s been amazing from start to finish. The whole backdrop of New York is breath taking and seeing the students’ faces light up at things they see is wonderful. To top it all off, they’ve had these incredible workshops. To see them so inspired and so enthusiastic has just been brilliant.”
Razzamataz Head Office are currently planning many more international opportunities with some of the team in Dubai exploring further educational opportunities and the latest developments in education. There are also plans to return to Broadway to offer this experience to even more young people.
