This year, we’re on the lookout for stories straight from our Ambassadors to help us inspire more women to start their journey into franchising. If you’re a franchisor or franchisee, could you share your journey with us? We want to hear all about it, from first considering franchising as a route to business ownership or growth, to now running your franchise.

What’s the plan of action?

The Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship identified a number of barriers to female entrepreneurship including access to funding, flexibility around childcare and lack of support. We’d like to share stories around each of these barriers to showcase how franchising can offer a solution. Each quarter we’ll be focussing on a different theme:

Q1. Access to funding

We want to hear your stories around your journey to finding funding/accessing finance which allowed you to start your business.

Q2. Flexibility around childcare

No doubt mothers in business have a few tales to tell us around your adventure of juggling business with children and we want to hear them!

Q3-4. Lack of support

We are also on the lookout for more personal, individual stories around overcoming confidence issues, feeling like taking the safer option, feeling like you lacked necessary skills and experience, access to a relatable sponsor or mentor and how this helped you.

What’s the next steps?

Contact us! We want to hear your stories as soon as possible. Especially your stories surrounding our Q1 theme: ‘Access to funding’.

All you need to do is email info@ewif.org and let us know you’re interested in being part of the campaign and then we will be in touch with you, to arrange a call.
