Mini First Aid

Mum of six, Kate Ball initially started Mini First Aid in 2014 from her kitchen table in Leeds, offering high quality baby & child first aid classes to parents and carers. Demand grew and Kate saw the potential for growth, so she started franchising the business in 2015. In 2021, BBC Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies, also saw the huge potential in Mini First Aid and she came on board as an investor and adviser. Mini First Aid is now a multi-award-winning organisation and has over 70 franchises nationwide. Mini First Aid train over 1000 families each week in life saving first aid, and trained over 80,000 school children last year alone. The brand has partnerships with leading charities; Sepsis Trust, Meningitis Research Foundation and Children’s Burns Trust and forms part of their communications strategy for awareness campaigns. 

Brand Mini First Aid has further visibility in branded products stocked by leading retailers such as John Lewis & Partners, Boots, Amazon and more. 

The brand also operates the Mini First Aid Foundation taking first aid education to hard to reach communities across the UK. Founder Kate champions women in business and franchising, enjoys regular event speaking, mentoring and supporting business start-ups.
