Pets 2 Places is a unique pet transportation service that offers a high-quality transport option for owners to accompany their pets when travelling. Founded by Claire Harris, who saw a need for owners to be able to get their pets to appointments but struggled with human taxis who were not accommodating.
Recognised as an industry leader and the world’s first pet taxi franchise, Pets 2 Places use a car rather than a van and transport only one family’s pets at a time. This is unique in the pet transport world.
Pets 2 Places believes the wellbeing of pet and owner is paramount. When an animal can sit with their owner whilst being transported safely, both pet and owner are calmer and more relaxed, thus offering a better service to both pet and owner.
This has been a very successful and well-received service in its founding town of Milton Keynes with high praise from both customers and the wider community including Age UK and Social Services as well as the police calling upon Pets 2 Places to help where needed.
Pets 2 Places is very much a community-based service, providing not just pet transport but, where possible, helping to support the local community.
For our franchisee network we are looking for dedicated animal lovers, not just people who enjoy patting a dog or giving a cat a leg to rub against, you need to really enjoy spending time with animals of all shapes and sizes. As important, you must be great with people, showing compassion and leadership to ensure we offer clients an outstanding service.
As a franchisee you may be called upon to transport pets to their vets or groomer appointments, kennels, play dates, holidays, puppy collections and even supporting the local rescue centres. You will also quickly see that no two days are ever the same as each customer – both human and furry – has their unique personality that makes this business such an adventure.
Operating from your home, you will be given an exclusive territory where you can grow your business in a meaningful way that works for you. You will be given the support you need to help realise your goals, whether that be a sole trader full-time position or employing a team and working part-time yourself. Much of the start up costs are included in your franchise fees so you can easily budget your overheads and be clear of your cashflow.
