In her ‘day job’ Gill Heppell is the CEO of the PerCurra home care franchise. Now, as Geordie Gill, she’s written a book – a journey that has taken her way out of her comfort zone!
‘It’s NOT About The Silver’ is a recipe book and so much more. Gill wrote it as a tribute to her mum. It includes some of her mum’s family-famous recipes alongside memories of when they were enjoyed. There is also a section at the back of the book for people to record their own favourite recipes and memories. As Gill says … ‘when you’re gone, pass it on’.
The official launch of the book will take place at the Newcastle Biscuit Factory at 7.30pm on Friday 20th October. It’s going to be a fun evening where Gill will sign copies of her book and talk about the trials and tribulations of becoming a first-time author. There will be refreshments and a chance to sample some of the delicious recipes featured in It’s NOT About The Silver.
