Children’s dance school babyballet® has been awarded the What’s on 4 Kids ‘Most Loved Music, Dance or Performing Arts Activity Franchisor or Independent with 20+ Leaders Overall’. This award has now been won by babyballet an astounding three years running, which further confirms their shared values and ethos of creating a dance experience for little ones that is both magical and educational.

These pioneering awards were established in 2006 to showcase the UK’s best children’s clubs, classes, leaders and volunteers – as nominated and voted for by the experts – parents and carers. This year’s event, hosted at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, highlighted the significance of the children’s activities sector, especially against the backdrop of COVID-19. Throughout the lockdowns, an army of children’s activities providers stepped up from across the UK offering a wealth of online clubs and classes, many free of charge. As parents struggled under unprecedented pressures, class leaders and dance teachers brought much-needed structure, reassurance, familiarity and comfort to little ones and their households. This impact was reflected in parents’ support for the awards this year with a massive 45,000 votes received and double the nominations in some categories.

“We’re delighted to have won for the third year in a row and we’re especially proud considering the immense hardships that everyone has had to go through recently. Alike so many other children’s activities providers, we continued to deliver the best service we could during such a challenging time but getting back into our classes and receiving this recognition makes it all worthwhile.

The award couldn’t have been won without the support from our wider community, so we share it with and dedicate it to our amazing teachers, parents, carers and our babyballet stars,” said babyballet’s founder and CEO, Claire O’Connor.

The award win comes hot on the tail of the release of babyballet’s first children’s book. Entitled Twinkle and Teddy in the Rainforest, the interactive story book features the much-loved babyballet mascots going on their very own adventure through the rainforest. The story takes you on that very same journey, meeting animals along the way and giving you the chance to dance with Twinkle and Teddy at home to three well-loved babyballet songs!
