We know how valuable connection, collaboration, and celebration are within our franchising community. With that in mind, we’ve been exploring how we can make 2026 even more impactful and supportive for everyone involved.
Throughout the year, there are several key events we all aim to prioritise. Networking and celebrating together are just two of the things that makes franchising so special. At the same time, we understand the commitment it takes to step away from your franchise and your network for a full day or two.
So, this year, The British Franchise Association (BFA) and Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) are bringing together two of our flagship events into one huge, inspiring celebration of women in franchising. On Wednesday 20th May, at the Leicester Tigers Stadium (no promises on player sightings!), we’ll be hosting the Empowering Women in Business (EWIB) Conference during the day, followed by the EWiF Awards in the evening, both focused on your growth, achievements, and opportunities to connect.
Pip Wilkins, CEO of the BFA says, “I am delighted to announce this important merger today between EWIB and the EWiF awards events. Both events have one core objective, recognising and celebrating the importance of women in UK franchising. Guests can now look forward to a day of learning and networking at EWIB, followed by all the fun and the glamour of the EWiF awards. We hope this joint day will mean more women and their teams will be able to attend these top-tier franchising events.”
And Helen Mansfield, Managing Director of EWiF, agrees, saying, “For the last couple of years, we’ve been aware of the pressure on brands and their networks. Especially financially. Pip and I had been discussing how we can best support the sector, and bringing these two events together into one amazing day felt like a clear, positive step. I can’t wait to see how the day unfolds, and I’m even more excited to start reading your award entries. Championing women in franchising is central to our mission, and it’s exactly what the BFA’s EWIB conference is all about.”
How will it work?
The best part is, when you book your EWIB conference ticket, you’ll automatically gain entry to the EWiF Awards in the evening! For friends or family of finalists who would like to attend just the awards, there will be an evening-only ticket option.
So, save the date, spread the word, and start planning your EWiF award entry! Entries open on 19th January 2026!
