Inspiring women into franchise is at the heart of Encouraging Women into Franchise (EWIF), so to know EWIF have just signed up their 100th member is a worthy acclamation! Over the last decade, EWIF have steadily grown their network with women who have been empowered to take on their own business throughout the Franchise world.

The larger the EWIF membership grows, the more women they can influence to inspire and encourage them to step into franchising; and the more they can celebrate the success of women in their growing network. This leads to success for each of the EWIF members.

EWIF Members take advantage of a range of benefits including, entry to EWIF’s annual awards, regular regional meetings and an annual conference. Members are given the opportunity to network with each other and share ideas of how to improve their own businesses, as well as receiving advice on how to start franchising. Members are keen to offer their services to each other, and to cheer each other on, as much as possible.

“Reaching 100 members is a huge milestone for us. It means awareness and support of our cause is growing, and more and more people want to get involved with encouraging women into franchising. Whether it’s starting their own businesses, or helping women in their industry, I’ve been so pleased with the response we’ve had since founding EWIF. So many women become dissatisfied with the lack of progress they seem to receive in employment, so helping them to start and run their own businesses is extremely rewarding for everyone involved. I also strongly believe it’s important we celebrate the successes of those already in our industry, showing everyone what they could achieve too. This is what EWIF’s all about!” explains Clive Sawyer, CEO of EWIF.

EWIF’s primary focus is to support women who are looking for a route into the franchise industry. Our remit is threefold: to encourage women to consider buying a franchise, to encourage business women to franchise their existing operations, and to help franchisors attract more women to their networks. We are a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, providing advice and guidance to anyone looking at trying to break into the franchise industry.
