Julie has made her company a fun and inclusive place to work. Unlike many care companies in the UK, Julie ensured her team were paid well above the minimum wage and had opportunities to achieve qualifications to progress through the business; one team member has already been promoted to be the Care Team Co-ordinator within her office.
Julie initiated an open-door policy where carers are encouraged to drop into the office for a cup of coffee or a natter whenever they need to. She also appointed an ambassador for the care team, who can relay anonymous feedback from the Caregiver on how they could be doing things better.
