Dog boarding franchise Wagging Tails are delighted to announce the arrival of their very own Hearing Dog puppy, Neve; a gorgeous black Labrador. Since they began working with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in January 2014 Wagging Tails have helped to raise over £17,000 for the charity and are the first dog care franchise to offer such support to a charity partner, something Wagging Tails’ Director and founder Lisa Suswain is extremely proud of.

“At Wagging Tails we have been raising vital funds and awareness for different dog related charities since 2007 as part of the ethical way we operate. We made a long-term commitment to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in 2014, which has led to us being able to fund the training of little Neve. We are really looking forward to watching her progress through her training and being matched with her recipient. The dogs simply don’t realise what a life-changing impact they have on their recipient’s lives and we are delighted to be able to facilitate Neve’s training thanks to the ongoing support of our wonderful owners, Dog Carers and franchisees.”

Neve was born in October 2017 and has been placed with her puppy socialiser in Hampshire. She will begin her training in January 2018. Wagging Tails will be sharing updates on Neve’s progress on their website and via social media.

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf Community Fundraiser Nicholas Orpin said of Wagging Tails and their fundraising:

“What a journey! All the cycling, rescues, collections, calendars and all the rest, have come to this moment and lil’ Neve on her way to becoming a life-changer. Please pass on my heart-felt thanks to everyone who has helped.”
