When Little Voices first began 19 years ago, you will all know that Liv was just three months old. I was a freelance mum, solo parenting, and working every hour I could find quite literally. Set up a business? I had no time, but somehow, I found an hour and a half on a Tuesday.
We started in just two rooms in Blackburn, with around 12 to 16 parents trusting us with their children in those first few weeks. There was no grand plan, no thought of franchising, and certainly no idea of what Little Voices might become. We simply knew the difference drama and singing could make and wanted to impact as many children as possible.
Franchising eventually came along as the solution to do exactly that, and the biggest superpower throughout these 19 years has undoubtedly been the people who have chosen to be part of it.
Turning 18 last year felt like a coming of age, but at 19, we are still learning, still growing, and most importantly, still listening particularly to the young people who sit at the heart of everything we do.
I am deeply grateful, thankful, and so lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing network of franchisees, consultants to the organisation, trusted suppliers and the head office team. Thank you for working with us at Little Voices, being part of our family. Looking at this whole organisation’s impact on young people’s lives is incredible.
Happy 19th Birthday, Little Voices and thank YOU all for being part of it.
