Hello, we’re already into February! We hit the New Year in full swing here at EWIF. January was a busy month with the first three EWIF Regional Meetings of the calendar year. Thank you to all those that came to the meetings – it was nice to see you all!
Our first EWIF Midlands Regional Meeting is taking place tomorrow (2nd February 2017). As you may or may not know, our Midlands Meetings are the newest area of the country to have it’s own EWIF meetings – they were introduced in 2016 and have been a fantastic success thus far. Fiona Boswell, the EWIF Midlands Regional Chair, runs the meetings. Fiona is the Head of Franchising at Fraser Brown Solicitors – the largest independent firm in Nottingham and has accumulated over 10 years of experience within the franchising sector. As well as being an affiliate member of the BFA, she’s also a regular speaker at franchise events and has articles featured within franchise media.
At this month’s meeting, there’ll be a morning of networking with a number of leading franchise experts, plus a guest speaker in the form of Paul Thompson – owner of Waterbabies and the winner of the BFA Franchisor of Year Award 2016.

Another exciting event for this month is the Franchise Show taking place at Excel, London on the 17th & 18th February! We will be down their exhibiting for the show with our own stand. So if you’re planning on visiting the show yourself, be sure to find us! We’ll be there for both days offering advice and guidance on becoming a franchisee, or franchising your business! Come along and speak with any of our EWIF volunteers and they’ll be sure to help you along!
