What a way to kick start the new year with the first ever three-day Razzamataz Conference. Set in the stunning Lake District, Razzamataz franchise partners were treated to a spectacular mix of training, wellness coaching, exciting challenges and entertainment in what has proved to be the biggest and best Conference to date.

The theme, It all starts with you, weaved through every element of the event, with guest speakers and coaches supporting franchise partners to understand how to maximise their business through their own actions.

With the incredible backdrop of the Lake District, franchise partners were invited to challenge themselves both physically and mentally with a choice of a fell walk at Latrigg Fell in Keswick led by two experienced leaders or a cold water lake dip, in Ullswater led by Ullswater Swim Place Director, Colin Hill a former Winter Swimming World Champion & Age Group Triathlon GB Champion.

“The challenges are a chance to enjoy the spectacular scenery and to give franchise partners a chance to step out of their comfort zone to achieve something that maybe they didn’t think was possible,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “With all these feel good endorphins flowing round the body, it was a perfect way to get into a positive mindset to start the Conference event.”

Throughout the Conference, franchise partners got involved in several tasks to help them cultivate a growth mindset and think differently about ways in which they can better serve their business. Guest speakers included: Pip Wilkins QFP who is the Chief Executive of the British Franchise association (bfa), Andrew Kindling, the founder of Kindling, a consulting firm specialising in working with children’s businesses seeking to grow their operations, Ryan Armitage, Director of Tezlom who spoke about his personal challenges which coincided with huge business growth and Kay Lou Haskins a breathing coach and cold water therapist who took franchise partners through a mindfulness session.

An important part of the event was ensuring that franchise partners felt supported and motivated within their business. Helping them to say goodbye to self-limiting beliefs, it was wonderful to have NLP practitioner and Principal of Razzamataz Glasgow North Amanda Birnie who shared her own journey and talked about how to overcome obstacles and achieve both professional and personal success.

During the evening, franchise partners were treated to a three-course meal and entertainment from Matthew Pagan from Collabro. Matt has performed all over the world including Japan, Hong Kong, USA, Canada and Europe as well as four sell-out UK tours. He talked to the franchise partners about how to prepare their students for the professional world of performing arts and his exciting career, which includes teaching at Razzamataz. The evening was also a chance for franchise partners to find out the results of the awards, a highlight in the celebrations.

Day three of the Conference was the Business Review Day led by consultant, coach and mentor, Hayley Limpkin. She draws from her impressive business and performing arts background to support small businesses as well as being the network business coach for Razzamataz Theatre Schools. The session was a chance for franchise partners to consolidate what they had learnt and take a magnifying glass to their business.
