It was a night of pride, joy and happy tears as a theatre school franchise network put on a gala performance at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre. This is Razzamataz Theatre School’s seventh West End performance and first at the iconic Shaftesbury Theatre. Due to huge demand from the franchise partners and the audience, this is the first of two sell out shows.

Eighteen schools in the network joined together to put on a superb gala performance, paying respect to the best in musical theatre with their own tributes to both theatre and film musicals. Franchise partners, teachers and staff worked together to create pieces that both students and their family and friends will never forget.

The commitment, talent, dedication and teamwork were on stage for all to see with every school demonstrating absolute professionalism and a total love for performing. The opportunity for students and their families to be part of such a high profile show and make memories to last a lifetime is a unique experience for both students and franchise partners at Razzamataz.

“It’s truly incredible seeing the students on such a prestigious stage doing what they love and enjoying every second of performing,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “Not many people can say they have performed on a West End stage and the life skills that comes from this type of event are experiences that they can draw on in many different future scenarios. We are committed to building young people’s confidence through exceptional experiences and giving them memories that they and their families can cherish.”

Razzamataz have had an exceptional year, having just been awarded the bfa HSBC Lifestyle Franchisor and Lifestyle Franchisee of the Year. The esteemed panel of judges were particularly impressed with the huge amount of opportunities that franchise partners can access, with the Shaftesbury Theatre performing experience unique in terms of establishing local schools as leaders in their communities.

“By becoming a franchise partner, we will ensure that you will have incredible opportunities for both your students and your teams,” adds Denise. “This is so important in terms of giving customers real value for money and recruiting the best teachers and staff members. There’s always something new and exciting to offer the students, which is why we have such fantastic retention and many of our students go on to become teachers and many teachers go on to become franchise partners.”

The feedback so far has been incredible with franchise partners receiving many lovely compliments from their customers. “What a day! Thank you for all the support today and in the lead up. Our students had the most amazing time and are all buzzing, already asking when the next one is,” says India Isaac, franchise partner at Razzamataz Torbay.

Kate Ward franchise partner at Razzamataz Southend and Chelmsford adds: “We had the best time throughout the whole experience. My parents, students, staff and I couldn’t be prouder, it was so fantastic and a memory we will hold forever. Thank you for all the backstage support and operations of the whole shebang and a special thank you to the fantastic chaperones who were so supportive throughout.”

The Shaftesbury Theatre performance experience is just one of the many special events that franchise partners can offer their customers. The extensive industry contacts enables many people from a wide range of backgrounds the opportunity to run their own theatre school with support from the highly experienced Razzamataz team.
