2025 NatWest EWiF Award Ceremony

The 2025 NatWest EWiF Awards were held on Thursday 15th May, at the London NatWest Conference Centre, where we honoured the women who are inspiring change, creating opportunities, and empowering others to thrive. With over 100 outstanding entries, our judges faced a real challenge in selecting the winners. Each finalist demonstrated remarkable talent and fierce dedication to their work. The competition was inspiring — but our winners truly stood out.

New Woman Franchisee of the Year 2025

Shanu Subra, McDonald’s

Thanks to her people-first approach to leadership, Shanu’s business is thriving. She’s seen remarkable growth and already expanded into a second territory! Her success also enables her to support her local food bank, raise funds for local charities, and organise events foster community connection.

Karen Neil, Cardea Healthcare

Authentic, empathetic, and purpose-driven, Karen exemplifies the kind of leadership that not only drives business growth but creates lasting, meaningful impact in the care sector. A vision which brought in her first two franchisees shortly after launch, and a third one not long after.

Lucy Crabtree, babyballet

Lucy has a deep passion for her brand. Last year, under her direction, the franchise recorded its most successful financial year to date! Lucy introduced a bold, personalised, goal-driven engagement strategy and grew the support team. The results spoke for themselves!

Woman Franchise Employee of the Year 2025

Rene Swart, Snap Fitness

Over the past year, Rene was instrumental to Snap Fitness’ most financially successful period. She also developed a comprehensive cashflow projection tool for prospective franchisees, which contributed to a significant rise in franchise sales over the last year.

Service Provider of the Year 2025

Monica Basuc, Atlas Mapping

Monica has an amazing ability to analyse data, turning it into practical, profitable insights to empower client growth more efficiently. Exceeding sales targets, she also led and developed some projects, adding significant value to franchises; having only joined franchise industry last year!

Inspirational Woman of the Year 2025

Rebecca Dean, Concept Claims Solutions

In elevating her brand, Rebecca increased franchisee numbers and boosted overall sales performance. She even smashed the previous no female franchisees, by onboarding women who made up a quarter of new franchisees last year, even personally mentoring their youngest, female franchisee.

Catrina is someone you’re almost guaranteed to run into at any major franchise event—relationship-building is at her core. Whether it’s a client, a colleague, or someone simply doing amazing things in franchising, she never misses an opportunity to shine a light on the success of others.

Anna Neville, Kidslingo

Anna stood out for her exceptional leadership and how she elevated her brand—not only driving growth but creating new revenue streams. Through her innovative thinking, franchisees were empowered to expand into new territories, with some achieving six-figure growth as a result.

Lynne Kerrison, Tutor Doctor

At the beginning of 2024, Lynne was enjoying strong business growth. But when a key revenue stream was unexpectedly lost, Lynne embraced the challenge head-on! Pivoting to previously unexplored opportunities, she safeguarded her business and showcased the adaptability of the brand.

Over the past 12 months, Monica has delivered outstanding results and forged meaningful, lasting relationships — all while navigating personal challenges with strength and determination. At just 26 years old, she exemplifies resilience, leadership, and ambition, making her a powerful ambassador for the next generation of women in franchising. 

The impact winning these awards has had on my business is already clear to see. It has been heartwarming to receive such wonderful feedback and messages of congratulations since we announced the award wins on social media. Sarah Cressall OBE, The Creation Station

Sarah Cressall OBE is the Founder and CEO of The Creation Station – the UK’s most recommended activity company. A multi-award-winning entrepreneur, bestselling author, and keynote speaker, Sarah’s mission is to inspire imagination and nurture potential.

Since 2002, alongside her amazing team of Creation Station franchise partners, she has inspired over 2.6 million children and adults through arts and crafts classes, clubs, camps, parties, and events across the UK and beyond.

Awarded an OBE for services to creativity in education and business, Sarah brings joyful energy, resilience, and a deep passion for making a difference to all she does.

In this inspiring and practical session, Sarah will share her journey and reveal her unique CREATE Method™ – six clear steps to help you gain clarity, explore opportunities, and build the life, and business, you love.

Pip Wilkins, The BFA

Pip Wilkins, Chief Executive of the British Franchise Association (BFA), brings over 25 years of experience in franchising. Having risen through various roles within the BFA, she is widely respected for her deep industry knowledge and leadership.

A prominent speaker and media contributor, Pip shares insights on franchising trends and best practices. She also judges major awards like the BFA HSBC British Franchise Awards, the Global Franchise Awards and the NatWest EWiF Awards, promoting excellence in the field.

Internationally, she represents the UK on the European Franchise Federation and World Franchise Council, helping shape global franchising standards. Under her leadership, the BFA has become one of Europe’s most influential franchise associations.

Last year marked Pip’s 25th year in franchising, and today, she’ll be sharing 25 key lessons she’s learned over the course of her journey.
